. A week is plenty of time to visit London and get to LANCS. What are we talking, two train journies?
I notice Sarazen isn't in the photo. I was thinking this photo could be after Ryder Cup. Many (probably all of them as the US team pretty much ran the table at that Open!) of the US team would have stayed on in the UK for The Open. This would have left plenty of time casually make it up to St Andrews before The Open a week or two later and still leave oodles of time to return for the PGA in August with a trip through London. So no, I don't think it is in the least strange, but where is wee Gene?
