Actually just realized that 31 is NOT hole 5 at Cornell, but geez there are some major similarities.  I haven't played enough golf in the region to know the course, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't RTJ's hands.

Great job on the quiz Ron.

This is driving me crazy because I know I've played #28, 30, and 31 multiple times but I can't put my finger on them.

#36 certainly looks like #10 Bethpage Black looking back from the red tees on 11, but the extra bunker short is throwing me off.

Also, the pic from Bethpage Green must be at least 7-8 years old, because they made the landing strip between the two bunkers into one continuous bunker. I drove the green once (windy and warm day, haha) and the guys on the green said it bounced up the strip and almost went in the hole. Can't do that anymore!

#11 is a par three, about 170 yards long. Are you thinking of a different hole?

HINT HOLE # 7: This hole is at a mainland, eastern NY course, not near any metropolis. It was in DESperate need of renovation and two fellows did a FINE job using their WIT.

Found it!  Number 14?

No, but close. #14 is the one I holed out on for deuce...workers behind the green went crazy and Tim Martin had a big smile behind his terminator sun glasses.

It's actually #3, if I recall correctly. 3 and 13 are awesome parallel holes, running downhill...lots of fun.

Next hint comes around noon today (Wednesday).

Ah yes. #12. My bad.  90 degree dogleg right. Forgot about the actual #11, which I shouldn't because it always gives me fits!

Another photogenic 14th hole at Springville Country Club.  

Only played 9 holes of this course back in 1987, but the gorge should have given me the hint that I needed to start looking.

Am I missing something on these 9 holes or did you pick ones that you know I'm not familiar with?

Hill Course at Chautauqua Institute. I thought it was #12, which is the only hole I remember having a pond on the dogleg, but I remembered it as a dogleg right? Been 15 years since I played there.

Think it's #10 looking at the aerial and scorecard.  The pond in the right of the photo is pretty small.

Glad I'm not missing courses I've visited.  

So, puling out the Xen Hassenplug designs?  Are we going to see any Tennis Schreckengost holes?

HINT HOLE # 31: This hole is a William F. Mitchell design and is the only one of the fourth nine not found in western New York. A little bit of Dirty Dancing gets you to the course, but finding the hole might be a challenge, as the joint is currently between owners.

I may not have traveled as much as you, but I think my research skills are improving.

Looks like Kutsher's Country Club in the Catskills.  Not sure of the routing, but looks like it might be #16.

You're killing me with all these WNY Courses I haven't played. 

I'll give someone else a chance to name the course, but I'll ask - is this a Willie Park or William Harries hole?
