Sven, is Gib's photo of Olympic's par 3 course?

David Elvins, what a great photo!  All natural, i.e. no touching up?

Sven,

Mea fucking Culpa! I did not read the fine print closely enough.

I hereby, irretrievably and irrevocably retract my submission from consideration forthwith - and respectfully petition the committee to restore my seat on the selection panel.

I'd rather be a judge in the beauty contest than a tart showing off my wares in high heels and a swimsuit.

And yes, that is Olympic's Cliffs Course.

Thanks Jim, it was a nice evening to be the only person on the golf course.  No photoshop, although I did spend 10 seconds adjusting the contrast as it came out of the camera slightly more washed out (and I like 50s postcards).

My favourite shot of the year in both senses, probably because it was one of only a handful of decent ones I hit all year! Though I can't really submit this one as I'm in it, so I clearly didn't take it...I'll nominate the Postage Stamp for the contest.

Yas Links 17th;

A few others with a little help to cover up the equipment and mainly photographer's shortfalls...

The Postage Stamp;

A Baltic North Berwick last winter, the 1st with a new bunker...

The 14th green looking out to Bass Rock as the flag nearly gets ripped out by the wind;

Prestwick 13th, favourite piece of GCA I've seen all year;

Liphook 11th, not going to get bored of this anytime soon;

Is that the shot that bounces off the water, hits the gong, then goes into the hole?

Great shots so far, keep 'em coming.

A couple of reminders:

1.  If you post multiple photos (and feel free to), we're going to use the first one in the post as the submission for the contest unless you designate one as your official entry.

2.  I'd suggest everyone uses the sizing feature to get their photos to fit the width of the readable page.  I say this because I for one feel that having to scroll over to see the right side of a picture detracts from its impact.  The best way (and only way I know) to do this is to edit the URL code for the photo by adding in " width=799" after IMG in the first set of brackets.

For example, the start of your URL code would look like this (note the space between "img" and "width"):

[img]

becomes

[img width=799]

My submission, the 7th at Palmetto:

It was a good year for golfing adventures, but I'll limit myself to just this one other I'm fond of. A view I'd never really seen in photos (or on TV) before, looking back down the 13th fairway at Augusta, with the 12th green in the background.

I beg to differ.

I know you didn't actually take this, but I think it's a great one:

Here is my official submission -- an 82 year old golfer we played a round with at Old MacDonald a few weeks ago.  In addition to being an excellent golfer, he is also an expert on Pacific Northwest weather patterns and gives great motivational talks before you're about to hit a crucial shot.  If I'm half the man that he is at the same age I will have considered my life a major accomplishment.  It was great to play with him.  I believe this is on the 6th fairway.

A few others that might be of interest...

I don't post here very often, but I thought I'd share my favourite photo of 2013. Shot with an iPhone, so the quality isn't the best.

The hole is the short 140yd 10th hole at Kingston Heath.
