Being in Ireland at the moment, I can say that some are taking the rankings seriously. I'm not certain why they ranked 100 but those that made it are thrilled. Wicklow GC even put on there web site that they just missed it. I happened to be in the area so I stopped by Luttrellstown Castle, and I only walked it but it looked decent. A little long perhaps but I'd play it if I were in the area. Lists, even diluted ones like this, are interesting. I have played 44 of 'em on the list.
At the same time I dropped in at Carton House to see it again and they spoke about the rankings. Many clubs take the ranking seriously.
