A quiet unassuming nine hole Bendalow in southeastern Illinois. I had the pleasure of playing this course today marked by the prescence of favorite local son, JakaB. I had a terrific morning. I certainly appreciate John taking the time out of his day. I even  got to hear some good Marty Simmons (UE bball coach) stories from the pro.

On Dec 3rd in Illinois we were able to play the ball down at a course with a total maintenance budget less than $120,000 per year. As we finished there was a group on every hole proving my theory that the higher the budget the fewer the golfers.

JK, please remind our viewers how many people were playing 1 hour south of us at another course with a markedly higher budget on this beautiful day. So nice outside that I wore a short sleeved shirt.

BTW I was not kidding about John being a celebrity. The guys in the clubhouse were just ecstatic when I told them who I was meeting. It was like watching a Cheers rerun.
