I am wondering how our favorite UK links and posters survived this superstorm?

Or more accurately I am wondering how some of our UK brethren on here and our favorite UK links are surviving this superstorm because it sounds like the effects are still ongoing.  It sounds like the worst in many years.

It sounds like it would have passed pretty close to Royal Porthcawl that I can think of off hand, and I am sure many other fine links that undoubtedly were quite exposed by their very nature.  I hope everyone and everything turns out as best as we can hope for.  I look forward to hearing from some of our UK brethren checking in to hopefully eventually give the "all clear" signal.

Luckily not many trees to blow over on those links courses.  Pennard and Southerdown are too high up but I'll bet. Porthcawl has a lot of sand on 1-3 and the 18th green.

On the east coast we were sheltered but had plenty of trees down and a girl was killed by a falling tree in west Kent. As for the links, the wind came from the land so there was no danger of flooding and there is nothing on the course for the wind to damage!

Don't forget that central Texas got hit with a serious 14 inch rain storm on Thursday as well. Much flooding and damage.
