I am taking a trip to Houston shortly and am looking for a decent place to play. I am playing Whispering Pines and Redstone and am in need of another. Thanks

I don't know if you have any connection there, but Champions is certainly worth a visit.

I liked High Meadow Ranch north of the city.

From everything that I have heard, make the 1:30 hour drive to Wolf Point GC.  I hear it is simply unique and fantastic.

Jim,

It looks like you have access to privates, so in addition to Champions I would recommend Carlton Woods.  I like the Fazio better than the Nicklaus, but both are worth seeing for sure.  They are up in the Woodlands.

Champions is good and cool. Carlton Woods Fazio is also good.

While you're at it, drop Redstone and go to Carlton Woods.

Agreed.  And I was a member of Redstone for 9 years.  Both courses are fine, but neither are in the same league as either course at Carlton Woods.  I also really like Westwood, a Keith Foster course on the southwest side of town.

Good call on Champions.  I think WP is great - I hope you enjoy it!

Echo the Champions and Westwood calls. If you need to get out at BraeBurn, drop me a line.
