Well, the government shutdown cancelled my family's trip to DC to visit the Capitol and the museums.  Accordingly, I will be home and willing to host Saturday morning!  I know it is short notice but hoping it might work for someone.

Bart.

I'd be delighted to join you Saturday if you don't mind playing with a newbie to the forum.  I have played Olde Farm before and enjoyed it thouroughly - though the greens did give me fits.  I'm in Knoxville (decided to blow off the UT/UGA game as I believe it will be an ugly event) and am looking for a game.  I play to a 5 and walk most of my rounds, although I don't mind riding if necessary.  Shoot me an e-mail at c_oldham2006@yahoo.com if you still have room tomorrow.

Chris, while a game with Dr. Bradley at Olde Farm is not to be missed, I must admit I had the time of my life Saturday evening in Neyland Stadium watching the 8th winningest program in college football history regain its footing.  A bitter ending, but once again It's Great To Be A Tennessee Vol.

Michael - the game with Dr. Bradley was spectacular, though the greens at Olde Farm will perpetually confound me.  I could not have asked for a more gracious host and playing partner.  Bart's knowledge of golf, travel and course architecture are beyond outstanding and I could have talked all three with him all day.

As for our beloved Vols, I got home in time to watch the game and agree that it is great to be a Tennessee Volunteer - but oh, how they do test the soul these days!

Eric, Chris and Bogey,

It sounds like we might have to set up a little VT v. UT golf match in Bristol in a few years. It looks like the long-fabled Hokies/Vols match up at BMS is finally going to become a reality in 2016.
