Shell's Wonderful World of Golf on youtube.com
« on: October 13, 2013, 10:49:43 AM »
There are now a good number of SWWOG clips and shows available on youtube.com. They range from Nelson vs. Littler at Pine Valley to Couples vs. Norman at Skibo. You can see Hogan, Snead, Trevino, Bob Charles, Bob Goalby, Julius Boros, Roberto de Vicenzo, et al. in or close to their primes. Some of the shows are in their entirety and others a chopped into 5- or 10-minute segments.

The one I've been looking for, but without success, is the mid-90s match of Faldo and Norman at Sunningdale Old.

The Faldo-Norman game has been on Sky TV a few times in the last year of so. It might be available/retrievable within Sky's vast number of packages by an appropriate Sky subscriber.
All the best

I have a lot of these matches on DVD, both new and old. If you're really itching for any one in particular, drop me a line. I'm happy to share.

I hope this type of format is revived in some way. The recent match at Cabot Links with Graham McDowell was filmed and may be the first in a new series.  It's not going to have the Shell affiliation.
