Separately, there have been foreclosures in the associated development, which may contribute to the situation.

Scott Weersing & I, who live in Tidewater VA, stopped off there last week to play there while on the way to the George Cup at Ballyhack in Roanoke, VA.

It is a pleasant, somewhat pedestrian (IMO) and reasonable Fazio course.  It makes no effort create design, visual or playing challenges.  Lots of aiming bunkers way out of play (at least for me).  Clubhouse size and its overhead may be a real problem.  Teriffic practice facility along with the First Tee short course.

Carl,

Slight correction...

The kids course is not a part of the First Tee program. It is a separately run VSGA endeavor.

There are two First Tee courses in the area. A 6 hole course in the city, and a 21 hole facility designed by Lester George in Chesterfield.
