I've seen pictures of those old platform tees and have wondered whether or not using them would significantly reduce the costs of maintaining a course.

Ocean Reef GC on Marathon Key has two of these and they are quite goofy.  They extend from a road in opposite directions on short par 4s.  I was expecting more for a $150 green fee!

Am I correct in saying that tees that are indistinct from the rest of the course was done at Mike Nuzzo's Wolf Point?

Anyone else doing them?
