How come a medal play event is advertised with the title "Real Golf"?

Bill, best day ever in British Golf, a Saturday, April 1995 at Prestwick. I might have the sequence of golf formats out of order, but in any case it was some version of:

-arrive early in jacket & tie
-coffee, newspaper, change into golf gear
-morning alternate shot / 2 hrs
-change back into jacket & tie
-lunch, port / 2 hrs
-change back into golf gear
-afternoon better ball / 2 1/2 hrs
-change back again into jacket & tie
-drink, watch "football", drink more
-taxi

Again, I wish every American golfer had the opportunity to have a day like this.   It completely changes one's perspective on what's really fun about golf.

I hope there were a couple of showers along the way!

Bill, I recall one at the outset of the day and another before football.
