Terrace Park Country Club, Cincinnati, OH - Played a ton of golf there from the time I was 10 to 26.  Easily over 1,000 rounds. Just re-joined the club two weeks ago.

Ivy Hills Country Club, Cincinnati, OH - Also, played here in high school (parents were members) and joined for a frew years myself in my 30s. Probably over 250 rounds.

Pinehurst #2 - My parents joined when I was 15. Probably over 100 rounds.

Pinehurst #4 - 50-100 rounds

Pinehurst #5 - 50-100 rounds

Sunblest (NLE) - Noblesville, Ind.
Sahm Park (originally Northeastway) - Indianapolis, Ind.
Murphy Creek - Aurora, Col.
Riverdale Dunes - Brighton, Col.
Hanging Tree/Bent Tree/Wood Wind - Westfield, Ind.

(Soon, Woodland - Carmel, IN will climb through this list to the top.  For the first time after a life of golf hobo-ism, I'm now playing 95% of my golf at the same course.)

I'm heavy on Dye, Diddel, and Kern.  And I'm quite happy with that!

Noordwijkse Golf Club - 250x ? (links course)

Olympus (Public polder course 10 minutes from home - 200 x (all free)) - Polder course the worst of all types of golf courses (decent
greens) freeway next to it.

Golfclub de Pierpont (Belgium) - 75x (inland links like with fast greens and parkland type fairways)

Golf Club de LabaWette (Belgium) - 30x (forest/parkland)

Nunspeetse Golf Club - 20x ridiculously tight, in fact tightest course I've ever seen, treelined course in NL. Makes Sahalee in Seattle look like they could use more tree growth.

Oddly enough after that a few top courses in NL that I've played around 10 x and then a couple hundred courses I've played 1x or two max.

No idea how many times I've played each, but have played probably well over 30 times each:

Santa Anita GC (Arcadia, CA) (home course for my high school and a bunch of other schools in our area)
Altadena and Eaton Canyon Golf Courses (nine holers about 5 minutes apart - worked at both)
Kingsley Club
Cog Hill #4
Cantigny (Wheaton, IL)
Pine Meadow (Mundelein, IL)
Victoria Club (Riverside, CA) - Home course my senior year in college, though I haven't played it since then.

Other than my home courses of Green Acres, Admirals Cove, tam O Shanter, and the Ritz in Jupiter, here goes

Pebble Beach
Cog Hill
Doral
Spyglass
LaCosta
Dorado Beach
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Based purely on estimation, and this is going to run the gamut from Hamburger Helper to filet mignon...

1. Sharon Woods GC, Sharonville OH
2. Hickory Woods GC, Loveland OH
3. Camargo Club, Indian Hill OH
4. Weatherwax GC, Middletown OH
5. Scioto CC, Columbus OH

Interesting to think about because while two of those courses are on everyone's radar and three are not, I've had a damn lot of fun playing all of them.

-Ulen Country Club - Lebanon, IN - My Grandparents were members and taught me the game here.
-Sahm Golf Course - Indianapolis, IN - For better or for worse, this was the place my high school called our home course (surprised to see it mentioned a few times already in this thread).
-Granville Golf Course - Granville, OH - Our home course for my college golf team.
-Woodland Country Club - Carmel, IN - I worked here for a few summers in college, prior to the renovation.
-Old Oakland Golf Club - Indianapolis, IN - Also worked a few years here.

Looking at this list right now, it seems that I used to play a heckuva lot more golf either when I was a kid or when I worked in the maintenance industry.  These days, not so much.

Interesting thread Mac.

My top 5 courses represents 61% of all the golf I have ever played (1,518 rounds in total, ages 10-39).

1.  St. Marys Golf & Country Club (St. Marys, ON, Canada) - 523
2.  Science Hill Golf & Country Club (St. Marys, ON, Canada) - 172
3.  Mt. Pleasant Golf & Country Club (Mt. Pleasant, MI, USA) - 87
4.  Port Royal GC (Southampton, Bermuda) - 83
5.  Southampton Princess (Southampton, Bermuda) - 56

Amazing how consistent the 80/20 rule is across whatever industry or topic being measured.  My most commonly played 20% of courses accounts for 82% of all the golf I've played.

John,
Our meeting at Torrey Pines was great fun, and proved really educational for me in the past 4 years or so.  I've acquired and read many of the golf architecture books you recommended (not to mention the great folks you put me in touch with). I hope we can play together again soon...in OH, MN, CA, or elsewhere!

Most of my rounds will have been as members at these courses or taking advantage of family holidays...

Horsley Lodge, near Derby, a member there from 14 when I started playing till my early 30s, so more rounds than I can calculate, say 500+
Notts GC (Hollinwell), a member for the last 3 years, say 100+
Burnham & Berrow, country member for about 7 years, say 30+
Brora, thanks to family holidays at the caravan site to the right of the 12th, say 30+, maybe more?

After that there are a number of courses I've played say 10+ time:
Cavendish, Kedleston Park, Chevin, Erewash Valley, all from my home county of Derbyshire
Royal Dornoch, Royal Cinque Ports, thanks to the hospitality of GCAers and a love of these two fine links!
Taymouth Castle, in central Scotland, again on family holidays (but before the recent rebuilding)

Cheers,

James
2023 Highlights: Hollinwell, Brora, Parkstone, Cavendish, Hallamshire, Sandmoor, Moortown, Elie, Crail, St Andrews (Himalayas & Eden), Chantilly, M, Hardelot Les Pins

Good thread, Mac!

My list isn't as impressive as some, but I've enjoyed those courses I've played a lot.....

Camden Country Club (Travis/Ross/restoration ongoing by Kris Spence)  1500-2000
I grew up on the course, and have moved back several times over the course of my career.

Camden area:
Columbia Country Club (Ellis Maples)  50+
Windemere Country Club (Pete & PB Dye)  50+

Grand Strand (family had home on South Strand for 25 years or so) all approx. 50 rounds
     Caledonia
     True Blue
     Litchfield Country Club
     River Club
     Pawleys Plantation
     Willbrook Plantation
     Surf Club

Atlanta Area (lived there 1976-85, and 93-34)

Cherokee Town and Country Club 500+ (member 1977-88)
     Capital City Brookhaven 50+
     Atlanta Country Club 50+
     East Lake 50+
     Chastain Park Muni 50+
     Bobby Jones Muni 50+
(played everything else of note in Atlanta, but not many times)

Louisiana (lived there 2000-2002)

Bayou DeSaird Country Club, Monroe  (RIP Tiger) member, 100+
Squire Creek Country Club, Reston  member, 100+

I also lived in the DC area from 1985-90, a tough place to be a non-member golfer.  Had a corporate membership at Avenel, but didn't play more than 30-40 rounds there (never could find a game).  Played mostly at Andrews Air Force Base and Fort Meade (probably 25 rounds or so each) with service friends and senior Civil Service types.
