Jason, my friend. I read your opening post to mean you were asking who is building or has recently built good courses on less than spectacular land? If the standard has changed to who is building Top 100 courses on less than spectacular land then I'm pretty sure this thread is finished as they've all been named! Haven't they?

It doesn't have to be top 100 but certainly worth a note.  Had Kidd done much of note on less than fantastic land?

And perhaps you're right, perhaps it is just Dye, Fazio and C&C but I don't think that's the case, nor do I think "top 100" is the threshold.

I think Nicklaus does good/very good courses irrespective of the site.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

No idea about Kidd. I've only played his course at Machrihanish, which is spectacular in my mind.

As for Nicklaus, I would nominate his May River course at Palmetto Bluff as a very good course built on less than spectacular land (little to no elevation change). It is a very beautiful site, however.

JC - be careful when you say Nicklaus.  You mean his "signature" brand, where he's very involved, right?

this is another thread that asks all of you on the east coast to tee it at TD's Riverfront in Suffolk, VA .... seemingly uninteresting property
