Good to be here.

I live outside of Louisville, Ky. and am a member/board member at a small semi-private course in that area. Once upon a time I was a golf pro at a few courses in the state, Cherry Blossom and Maywood, and left the business to be a desk jockey in health insurance.  After taking a few years off from the game due to a bit of burnout, I came back about 2 years ago with my amateur status back.  I have a had moderate success since being back, but am trying to get into expanding my playing resume with my increased travels.  Of note in the next few months, I will be heading to Cleveland, Raleigh, NC, and Orlando.  Any suggestions for those travels will be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, architecture has become an increased interest, and is very relevant currently, as my course will lose roughly 150 trees in the coming months due to the effects of the chemical imprellis.  We are in the beginning stages of searching for an architect to service our course with a tree plan within our budget, as well as take ideas for possible ideas of any other features to replace those trees more immediately than the small trees we would certainly see in the near future.

I'm glad to be here and look forward to expanding my knowledge of this part of the game...

Welcome aboard.

It sounds like your club has already implemented a tree program, and one that created revenue to boot!

Good luck as you serve your club and with your playing/ traveling.

Welcome, Adam. Good to have you.

If you are heading to Cleveland to play, you better get moving. Unfortunately, I fear that the cold weather will be here before too long.

Welcome Adam.

Enjoy.

True, I am not sure I will actually get to play in Cleveland due to time constraints and the time of year, but one can hope.  I will be in Orlando for a week in November though, so hopefully that will make up for what I miss in the others.

Adam, it's good to see you here.

As I mentioned on GKL, I just got back from Raleigh and Chapel Hill at the end of last week. I can't recall if you've visited Pinehurst and Southern Pines yet, but if not, you really should make the drive. It's an hour at most and one of the best golf locations in the world. No. 2 is obviously the star, but Tobacco Road, Pine Needles, and Dormie Club are all courses I think you'd enjoy. Dormie was a bit of a slog for me, but I'd like to hear how you handle it as a stronger player and also what you think about its firmness and green contours. It's pretty different from the Ohio Valley diet we get.

You might also put in a call to Raleigh CC. It was Ross' final course and I've generally heard good things.

Some of y'all have never been called out in bold green font and it really shows.
