The NY Times has recently published one of their "36 Hour" travel guides on Edinburgh. Not golf related, but possibly of use/interest if you are planning to visit any time soon.

Of all the times, I went to EDI, I rarely visited much of the city.  I was too busy catching a train somewhere for golf.

As you know my wife and I are spending a month in Scotland, starting Aug. 6.

We have tickets for the Tattoo on the 6th, maybe this will give some other ideas.

By the way, talk here about comps, got me interested and I think we are in six different mixed comps during the trip. 

So far confirmed at Scotscraig 8/10, Cullen 8/17, Nairn Dunbar 8/25, and Duddington 8/31. 

Waiting on confirmation for Brora 8/22 and Dunbar 9/1.
