My name is Matthew Glore and today is my first day registered at GCA.
I've been a long time reader of this discussion group and the members here have guided me to some amazing golf courses in my last two years of travel golf.
I'm from Louisiana a very golf poor state, but I try to hit 5-10 courses a year after extensive research. I've started like most, top 100 lists but more recently I've been using the GCA as a map to truly unique courses.
I play locally at the TPC Louisiana golf course (typical Pete Dye) and also the David Toms course in Mathews La. La Tour. Those are about as good as we have publicly.
Privately I get out to New Orleans CC a few times a year, and Metairie every few years.
I travel with my near neighbor annually for trips. Its great meeting new people while experiencing golf in a totally different climate.

My 2013 golf trip starts this Friday, Golfing in Colorado and Nebraska at highly posted private courses on GCA.
I can't wait!
I'm a new out of area member at a private course, but not affiliated with any Louisiana country clubs. I'm pushing 40yrs old and have a family and business that keep me very busy.
I appreciate all the hard work posters in this forum contribute. I've nearly mapped out all my shots with the great course tours!
