17th at Victoria National

Wow did anybody see the carnage from the leaders at 17? They kept saying how shell-shocked Hurley must be, but I think he was pretty fortunate to get into the playoff. Both made great pars at 18.

The course was a soaking mess.  The conditions pathetic.  They have sub air on the greens or in would not have been playable.  Amazing that one chap shot 66.

Interesting tournament, that 4 putt on the 17th was sad.

Four way playoff is tomorrow.

Acc to pgatour.com's write-up about the playoff, they got 9 inches of rain last week. They even had to delay this morning's playoff 80 minutes due to more rain! Two of the guys in the playoff drove it right (as in wet), and Joe Affrunti hit it left into heavy (wet!) rough. The winner hit 3 wood down the middle, six iron to the green, and two putts for the win.

The course looked incredible on television. Lots of beautiful holes, and for the amount of rain they received, pretty darn playable -- the super and his staff must be pretty awesome. . .

How they got one hole in today is remarkable. It poured all day today too.
