that Cabo del Sol Ocean is the 4th best course in Cabo.  ::)

GolfWeek continues to be a complete joke when it comes to rankings.

Nice dig JK.

We have rules. We clearly state the rules upfront. Some choose to ignore clearly stated rules and expect them to be waived for them and when they are not they, like you, take to the almighty internet to get their digs in.

I am very comfortable with teh service we provide. If you do not wish to abide by our reservation policies then there is not much I can tell you.

Perhaps  you would side with the 6 guys that showed up last week and demanded to play a 6-some and, when denied, screamed like children, threatening to smear CDS (and me) on the intenet. Actually I imagine you are the exact opposite and the kind of guy that would respect how we run the operation and adhere to our clearly stated policies.

Funny how some confuse with professionalism with being unprofessional isn't it?

Funny the power some derive from judging others.  Raters are just Tripadvisor posters who don't pay.

After reading the above reviews I see why you are happy.

The Trip Advisor poster fails to mention that he was free to play earlier as he wished so long as he paid the rate associated with the desired tee time. You book a twilight time... you play at twilight. No gaming the system here. Sorry, but that happens almost daily and the answer is always the same.

Completely understand the irony JK... but there is a back story to the GW saga.

I've heard them all.

Have you heard the one involving a "rater summit", economic meltdown, swine flu, petulant rankings czar and some choice language thrown at our well respected PR guy?

BTW they paid to play - perhaps that is the root of the problem.

Greg,

I am a relative newbie on the site, but I have been in shock to read what some raters do / how they act. Is this only with one specific publication? I do help to rate courses for Golf Monthly in the UK (we only rate UK & Ireland) but we try to be as polite and courteous as possible. I have been told a few times I would have to pay or that they unfortunately don't allow raters, but this doesn't diminish the course at all in my eyes (in fact, my own home club doesn't give courtesy of the course to some publications). Each course is different and we must respect the rules and wants of each individual club. I feel it is a privilege if they allow me access / courtesy of the course, and am quite shocked that grown men/women can act in such a way.

Looking forward to seeing "Billion Dollar Bully" on the destructive and heavy handedness of critic sites like Yelp and Trip Advisor.

Greg - you will always have a fan in Jim Weiss. He speaks highly of you and Cabo del Sol
