Probably old news for some here, but a nice find for Roger McStravick. Melyvn must be tickled.  

Does anyone know a bit more about the "Road Wars" that occurred over the placement of The Links roadway along #18?

If I recall correctly there is a chapter in the recent book on Old Tom that is devoted to it. It's actually quite a funny story the way it is told in the book.
