The Olde Farm
« on: June 01, 2013, 07:15:21 PM »
First post, glad to be included.  I played The Olde Farm in Bristol, VA last week and was blown away.  I did a father-son trip and played Pete Dye Golf Club, Kinloch, Congressional, Pinehurst #2, Dormie Club, The Homestead and ended at The Olde Farm.  Granted we played great courses, but The Olde Farm was my favorite.  Have any of you played this course?  What are your thoughts?  Thanks again for including me in this great site.

Jim - - I played the course a couple of summers ago and everything exceeded expectations. The course was a ton of fun, with a number of interesting and challenging holes, and some memorable side pieces like the barns. The course was in great shape, the vibe there was wonderful, and the overall experience was truly superior.

Jim,

Wish I  knew you were in town.  I'm glad you enjoyed The Olde Farm.  It is great to be a member there.  The course is really firm and fast right now.   ;D

Best wishes,

Bart

Jim,
Welcome to the board. I played The Olde Farm with Bart last fall and thought it was great--really a cool site with many very interesting holes. It sounds like you had a great trip and lineup of courses--of the ones you played Pete Dye GC is my favorite but I can see how The Olde Farm could stand up strong in that company.

Played there a number of times and have always been impressed. Each time exceeding expectations. Fun course to play, challenging and great conditions.  The Long Barn and the Party Barn are also nice touches.  Class place all around.
