A Mid-May Photo Phest
« on: May 18, 2013, 09:23:07 PM »
I know that we do our annual photo contest later in the year. This image is from August of 2005 and I had an inclination to play around with it a bit in photoshop. I think that Gib's post on FB (about the strength of his iphone camera) may have been the compelling force. Feel free to add your own images to this thread.

Bless you Ron - I failed to enter last year's photo competition, and have two images of my kids.

The first, is my young son Elliot with collared shirt, Velcro junior sized Trues, and cardigan on, in a pose to chill Melvyn's heart.

The second is of my daughter and I, on Divot Day at Kingston Heath, prior to last year's Australian Masters. Several dozen members spent a few hours filling divots, to help prepare the course for the tournament, hence Charlotte's gloves and bucket!

Mine official entries will be weather related.

First Photo, #7 green of my home club in Kansas, same weekend mid March, 2012:

Matthew started kids in photos so I will go next.  My 5 year old at the KC golf show this February at the PGA exhibit on promoting junior golf.  He started lessons when he was 2 and about took the gentleman’s hand off.  “Has he played before?” was the question.  Sorry for the proud outburst.

A couple from a round last week.

#8 at The Gallery North Course in Marana, AZ. A short hole with lots of options.

#15 at the same course. A par 3 where play rotates between two greens.

And since a few got into the family act ... one of my favorites of the genre. From last summer, my then 18 month old on the putting green at Pebble beach where he met me and his grandpa after we'd just finished our round.

Brian, great to see the Peachtree photographs.  I look forward to your take on the place.  How 'bout tossing in a photo of the first green?  As good an opening three holes as one will find anywhere.

Cheers,

Yes, the par 5 4th hole. Only 496 from the tips but plays east into the prevailing wind. It's at the far north edge of the course.

A friend of mine had just graduated and 4 of us went to Bandon to celebrate once he was done. I took some of the best photos I've ever taken:
