Congratulations to Adam Lawrence and Toby Ingleton from Golf Course Architecture  magazine - almost 250 golf architects/designers from around the world cast a ballot in the magazine's inaugural architects' course rankings.

I can't wait to see the July issue and find out what kind of list the architects produced.

Yes congratulations Adam on puling it off.


Sadly I doubt it will be much different to any of the other lists.  A few surprises maybe at the upper end and possibly  TOC put at No1 (at least the first time they do it.)

Congratulations indeed.  It will be great fun to see it and I think there will be some interesting classic courses that are higher than the magazine rankings.  In fact, I would guess that the classic courses will be very well represented.  Simply from human nature, it is easier for an architect to praise the work of a dead guy than a competitor.
