Glad to hear that Mike Sweeney and Steve Lapper will be playing.

For anyone in need of cash, playing them is better an ATM ;D

Slapper,

Roger and I recall that the money I gave you was a loan for cab fare home  ;D

Actually neither of us can recall me paying for anything other than caddies.

But, July 2nd can't come soon enough.
Small bills would be preferred

Co-incidentally, a friend called me today to arrange a golf game at Oakmont and he was raving about the course at Paramount.
He said that they've spent a ton of money and did a great job.
I assume that you were there last Monday.

I'm anxious to see the changes

Thanks for the invitation.  It's probably too far for this Oregon boy to travel in mid-summer.  One if the best invitations ever offered.  Have a great time.

John, I'll be in Portland July 2nd as well.  Perhaps a consolation round at Waverly?

Steve, all of the "fair" hole locations will be used up the day before for the Met Am SQR, so "Chief Moron pins" will be no problem!

I'm excited to see so much interest in the event.  The golf course is growing in nicely, and should be really good for early July.  The green and fairway expansions have taken successfully and the natural areas are really starting to "pop".

Will you be playing hickories with us this week?

Alas, I'll not be in my plus-fours avec hickories* this week. It is the goddess' "to whom I must obey" birthday. However, I did convince a few more "Morons" to attend our Lollapalooza.

Steve,

Will you be playing Paramount on July 2 ?

If so, might I suggest the following ?

Another dinner for "morons" that night.   You can even sit at the head of the table.

And, for some of the "morons" who can't attend, let's have a separate table with their names on the empty chairs.
That way we can include them in our conversations, even addressing them by name.

I'll just need a body count of the morons attending and the names of the morons who couldn't make it.

Looking forward to seeing you, Sweeney and all of the other morons

It’s time to start getting a more accurate head count for the event.  Cost for the entire day will be $75pp.  That will include BBQ lunch, golf w/cart (if desired) dinner/speakers, and open bar (beer, wine, whisky cocktails).

The club has put together a very nice menu for the night, but I don't feel it’s necessary to post those details here.... just too much typing.

Caddies are not mandatory, but can be available upon request, please just let me know ahead of time so that I can make sure they will be available.

Checks should be made out to Paramount Country Club (please include GCA on the memo) and can be mailed to:

Paramount Country Club
Attn: Brian Chapin
60 Zukor Rd.
New City, NY 10956

Payment can also be accepted in person the day of the event.

Hi Brian,

My work schedule indicates I should be able to make down to play that day.... Hopefully the weather will be more co-operative than the day you and I played in May '12.

I'm looking forward to seeing the additional improvements you and Jim have managed to implement over the last year or so... particularly if you have not been forced to work on your flower-arranging skills at the same time...  :) :)
Next!

A shout out to Steve Scott, a gca'er and the pro at Paramount.  He was just interviewed on the Golf Channel re: the US Open Qualifer.  He did not qualify but represented his club very well in the interview.  By his answers, he clearly understands the role of the club professional and a family man.  He also was wearing Paramount gear head to toe.

Nice interview Steve and congratulations on the recent work at Paramount.

The dangerous part of that budget is the open bar part.  I'd suggest an armed guard.  Keep an eye on Sweeney.

Reposting some of the details... its just the easiest way to answer the questions.

Cost for the entire day will be $75pp.  That will include BBQ lunch, golf w/cart (if desired) dinner/speakers, and open bar (beer, wine, whisky cocktails).

11:00 - speakers and lunch.

1:00 golf

Dinner/ festivities to follow golf.  Should we say 4:30?  ;D
