Very OT - GCA's Favorite Musician's New Album Due Out 6/21

Lloyd Cole's new album "Standards" will be released on June 21st.  Brooklyn Vegan has a nice little write up.  It includes a reteaming with, among others, one of my all-time favorite artists, Matthew Sweet.  Though no tour dates announced as of yet (fingers crossed for Chicago), his son's band BFA is playing a few shows in NYC in the next couple weeks, including their first ever tomorrow.  Congrats to Lloyd and his son.  I've been a fan ever since appropriated my brother's copy of "Mainstream" in the late '80s.

the album was partly funded by crowdsourcing and I was one of 600 who kicked in to help Lloyd make the album, so I'm really looking forward to it. I think he will be doing a lot of touring this year, according o his FB page updates.
