Gentlemen,
Now does that Peter Pallotta bring sunshine intae your lives or doesn't he! He's hyperbolic this morning!

I have to admit I feel for all you golfers who are still house-bound. No I really mean that, I'm not being facetious. It is one of the reasons that I know I could never go and live somewhere where golf 12 months a year was not possible. I get "itchy" and withdrawal symptoms after a week!! Such is the confined and restricted state of this golfing tragic.

Strangely this last two months in Brisbane, Oz, have been wetter than almost any time on record. Uncharacteristically wet, not with sub-tropical rain but many, many days of "drizzly" showers interspersed with more normal heavy downpours. This has severely impacted the club's cash-flow as Brisbanites are quick not to turn out if the weather is inclement as the morrow normally brings a day made in Heaven.

Cheers Colin

The worst part is that there is no real hope in the extended forecast.  I thought about going to Des Moines this weekend but realized I have dinners on Friday and Saturday night so that might be tough.

Cabo weather is OK but I hear the RIU is booked.

Volunteered as scorer at NU event at rain-soaked Glen Club. Boy those college kids hit it deep - but walking 9 at Willow Hill on top of dump made for a perfect spring day in the Windy City. Can't wait for weekly challenge season to start on Saturday (thank God for cart covers and heaters!)

I was a Minnesotan. In 1975 I decided to go to college in NC. I was no longer miserable!

This has got to be the worst spring in memory, if there even is a spring in Chicago.  I was always out there the first weekend in April, even if long johns were required.  This is rediculous.  Now we'll finally get a bit of a warmup and nothing but rain in the forecast.  Maybe it's time to become one of those fair weather golfers who pulls the sticks out of the garage for Memorial Day weekend and puts 'em back in after Labor Day weekend... >:(

I do like the refreshed enthusiasm that results from not being able to play for a portion of the year.

I like the refreshed muscles and joints. Every year it seems to take me longer to recover from last season's injuries and aches.

I like the chance to catch up on some stuff that goes undone during the golf season -- notably, my magazine reading.

But, hey, c'mon, enough already! I've already read *next* month's issues!

Here is my house in Northern Mn.
This photo was taken this afternoon, at least 2ft of snow on the ground and snowing today. This time last year I had 17 rounds in.

I was going to mention you, Mike, earlier in this thread -- but thought that might push you right over the edge....

Can't you get Paul Bunyan to do something about this?

You've been to Cabo 3 times, Florida once, Arizona and Dallas.

Spare me the pity party.

Oh, man.  That brings back repressed memories.

I wish it would warm up in the north so that all of the snowbirds would go back home.  I love them, and the Florida economy needs them, but you wouldn't believe how much cheaper and less crowded an off-season round is.

It's snowing again.

Hard.

Looks like a snow-globe in downtown St. Paul -- except that it's coming down too fast.

God, help us.

4-9 inches in the Twin Cities metro area by tomorrow.

And I moved south to live here. Not far enough, obviously.

Reminds me of that old Alka-Seltzer commercial, with the hitchhiker in a blinding snowstorm and a sign saying "Miami."

Guy pulls over, rolls down the window, says "Sorry. I'm only going as far as Fort Lauderdale," and drives off.

That's my recollection of it, anyway.
