New Ferry Link for Kintyre
« on: April 16, 2013, 04:32:22 AM »
Caledonian Macbrayne has announced it will start a pilot car ferry service from Ardrossan, a few miles north of Troon, to Campbeltown next month. Not clear what the crossing time will be (I'll guess at two and a half hours) but it should make Machrihanish trips a whole lot easier!

Result!
2011 highlights- Royal Aberdeen, Loch Lomond, Moray Old, NGLA (always a pleasure), Muirfield Village, Saucon Valley, watching the new holes coming along at The Renaissance Club.

You can get from Edinburgh to Amsterdam in an hour by air without getting seasick, and the Low Countries have as good golf and beer as does Kintyre and at least you are in touching distance from civilisation.....

That is great news!  Hope the ferry times are regular...and golf friendly.
