You may view the changes to everyhole here.

http://www.golfdigest.com/golf-courses/georgia/augusta-changes

The article is interesting, but it doesn't give all the changes.  e.g. Jack Nicklaus wrote that before the 1986 Masters, his team had made some changes to the 18th green.  So he knew that first putt he faced on the 72nd hole was faster (I think that was it) than it might have been before.

What is the tree house's opinion on the pimento cheese sandwich?

We just made some at my club for an event and they were delicious.  Can't wait to taste the ANGC version.

I just hope I don't drop the ball and forget to get one....

There was a story the other day about how they changed vendors and the pimento cheese was different this year.

Is it possible that a player wearing cargo pants has a chance to win the Masters today?

Why or how does Rae's Creek seem to just pop out of the fairway on 13?

Bubba is on his way to double digits on 12.  A rules question:  He hit it from the bunker into the water and chose to hit his next shot from the bunker.  He raked before he redropped.  I have no idea whether or not that is legal.

I should have looked it up - he did it right:

Its funny you mention that, because I was unaware that they had changed vendors, but when I was there on Wednesday I thought my mandatory pimento cheese sandwich I have to have was the best I had ever had in probably 15 times at The Masters.  So maybe there is something to that.  I say well done!!!

Normally I would say that the Pimento Cheese is something you just have to have to be part of the experience.  This year I actually found myself wanting another later in the day!

My wife buys pimento cheese from Pawley's island at the local Ukrops and it's better than ANGC pimento cheese. Growing up my mother would put pimento cheese into a celery wedge as a snack and it was always a treat. Eat the Pimento cheese for the first trip through the concession line and after that it's bbq. Stay away from the egg salad or the ham and cheese on rye. The peach ice cream sandwich is an advanced move. The snickers bar will melt before you get the wrapper off.

Mid 90s I believe it was Isao Aoki who was DQ'ed from the Doug Sanders for doing something similar.

My thought is, I wonder how much ANGC made on umbrella sales today?  Looks like every fan, excuse me, patron, is sporting the officially licensed umbrella.

So when are they going to paint the clowns mouth on the 12th green?
Or maybe the bank of the creek?

If Cabrera wins tomorrow, what does that do for his legacy? How do we rate him in his generation and all-time? Is he a Hall of Famer? Is he a top 5 player of this generation who flies completely under the radar? He's like an Argentinian John Daly with a better record and less drama, but the same gut, power, and penchant for chain smoking.

Jason,
Well he didnīt win but his legacy remains the same a good player that likes and plays Augusta well and better than most of the rest of the courses in the world he plays. A lot on this site picked him as having a good chance but I really didnīt expect a top 20 out of him. As to the comparrison of Angel to John Daly, gotta cry foul, please!! John get a special catagory all by himself!
Is Angel smoking again?? I know he quit after his last Augusta win and there was a good weight gain following. Can anybody confirm that he was smoking? Can you still smoke in Augusta?? In Georgia?? In the USA???

Most impressed that the 14 year-old Tianlang Guan didn't have a single three-putt all tournament.

Saw plenty of people smoking at Augusta, and it certainly is more common in Atlanta than Phoenix (where I call home). We entered a restaurant Sunday night and were carded ... I was surprised, though it was more restaurant than bar. Come to find out, we were checked to see if we were over 18. GA law says you can allow smoking in your establishment so long as you are 18+ only. That was a new one for me.

Don't know if Angel is smoking. They never showed him doing so, but then it was pretty wet yesterday.

Angel quit the year after winning at Oakmont. Don't know if he relapsed.

A quick perusal of last round scores saw two 10s and a seven there. That happen to the best players in the world at any other course, and people would be calling the hole "goofy".

Seriously, when did the guys who yell after every shot shot infiltrate Augusta?

WW

Yes, I heard the same idiot yell "Ri-donkulous" at least twice.

I thought these people got removed.

I was wondering much the same. Watching on TV I had explained to my better half that these idiots were removed at Augusta. Next thing I know it's happening again and again.
