I don't know Merion, and of course I don't know what the weather will be like (though I'm assuming it won't be dry enough for long enough to get the fast and firm everyone is hoping for). And on the ask the super thread, I think he predicted a score of -10 to -15 if the greens were moist/receptive.
So - an historic course has been changed (again), and fairways shifted, and mowing lines brought way in, and it looks ugly and ridiculous, and Mike Davis can do all his magic and Merion can boast that it's hosted another US Open.....and the winner and US Open champ will hit 3 drives a day and come in at 15 under par.
