David,
Links v heathland? I started off thinking it was a great question, but after reading all the replies so far and thinking this one over I honestly cant decide. I've been a member of both and would happily take either over parkland (referencing Ally's other top page thread), but both offer fantastic golf for me.
In the end it makes me wonder if asking Links v Heathland is a bit like asking me to choose my favourite son (not that I have kids) but you probably get my point?
Best set of heathland greens? Sean has again beaten me to it with Woking and Beau!
Woodhall v Seacroft? Woodhall is probably a better golf course, certainly a tougher challenge, but I'm starting to feel its a little overrated? In the regular debate of best inland courses its behind Ganton, Sunningdale Old, Notts and Walton Heath for me. Perhaps if it was ranked there I'd love it a little more, but when it gets ranked ahead of them i'm not so sure? I would though happily go back out to Seacroft again tomorrow to give it another go, I loved it!
Cheers,
James
