... of GCA, that is, with the new classic courses being brought in by Tom Doak, Coore and Crenshaw, Gil Hanse, David McLay Kidd and others. Seems to me like a lot of these new great courses espouse the classic virtues beloved of GCA enthusiasts, but also include more modern elements and features needed to make them fresh and exciting.

I think you could make a good case that more truly quality golf courses have been built in the past 10-15 years that in any period since WWII.
