Dusty Bottoms CC?  (I'm ashamed to say I've never seen
that movie!)

Now a Cavalier is pursuing a Citation?  Ugh.  Don't wanna watch that.

Town name of ongoing USGA event.

Canyo believe there are 4 clubs with this same unusual (and
celebrity) name in the U.S.?

Looks like Chevy Chase to me.

This is Chevy Chase Club, in Chevy Chase, MD, designed
orginally by Ross, then re-designed by Colt & Alison
(according to golfcourse.com - Craig Disher probably knows
the real story).  The most recent renovations were done by
Art Hills.

other clues include:

many Chevy Chase (the actor) clues....

"Sparky" = nickname given by wife of Chase's character,
Clark W. Griswold, in "Vacation" series of films.

"Dusty Bottoms" is his character from "The Three Amigos!"
(I'm ashamed to say I've never seen it!)

"Ty" Webb, from Caddyshack

"I'm Chevy Chase, and you're not!" famous line from original SNL News

"Irwin M. Fletcher" = character name from "Fletch"

"Cornelius Crane" Chase is Chevy's birth name

"A 'Vette hightailing it after a Camaro" and "A Cavalier is
pursuing a Citation" are both example of a "Chevy chase"

"BRett Hull would love this place", "ice feature",
and "hockey" refer to the ice rink on the grounds.

"Town name of ongoing USGA event." = Where nearby
Columbia CC, host of ongoing US Junior's, also resides.

"Caspian, Baltic, Adriatic, North" = "Sea, sea, sea, sea",
or "CCCC", which is close, though this club is just CCC.

A side note.  I used the long-discontinued Chevy "Citation"
in the one chase because that was my first car.  I'll sum it's
performance up in the personal license plate I always wanted
to put on it:  PCUVSHT

Sorry I got into this one late because I'm a Chevy man all the way!

From the looks of it though, I have to say that this would be an excellent example of a class project or dissertation on Routing 101. Some really good stuff going on there.

Just from looking at it, I bet at one time before there was a practice facility that the area was one of those meadow-like retained areas that would have made the course even less cramped on what seems like such a small parcel.

Senator Burroughs, you have the floor, and it looks like now I maybe able to make it for Golf if there still is a spot open.

I also forgot to add that the lines of trees probably make the site look much bigger in person. But as you can see from the aerial, it really isn't.

The course definitely plays bigger than the site it is on. There are only a few spots on the course where you can actually see a group that is either not directly in front or in the rear of you, and none of the holes feel cramped.

There was a thread on CCC a while back, and I believe the consensus was that Hills didn't touch the routing, but that not one blade of original grass remained after his re-design.
