Greens With Two Spines
« on: July 23, 2003, 09:41:52 AM »
I'm a fan of spines runnning the length of the green from front to back.  Did the 13th green at Royal St. Georges not have a second spine down the extreme right hand side?

I've never seen this feature before and liked it immensely.  Are there other examples?

Regards,

Mike

Green w/one spine down middle from front to back is #16 at Yeamans Hall, the Biarritz hole.

Very tilted green with spine, actually a giant tube, running down the middle from front to back is #5 at Soaring Eagles in Horseheads, NY

Perhaps most famous green with spine down middle front to back is #17 at Pebble, though that green is so shallow, the spine's probably only 25-30 feet long.
