Phillippe, best of luck with this. A book, as you are quite aware, is a major undertaking. Keep us advised on the progress!

What's wrong with the bilingual version... you'd get a nice french lesson for free  ;D

Phillippe - good for you, and all the best with this. From your posts (and from what I know of your professional background) you have all you need to write a really good one -- and, markets being what they are, I think it a very smart decision to have it bilingual.

Phillipe,

Love the immediate reference to and pic of Ekwanok!  What a great hole, just wish they'd remove the cartpath!

Cheers and Good Luck!

P.  I  was trying to be funny, I'd love the bilingual copy.  Always ready to learn something, always supicious when the french editorial is longer than the english version.
cheers and best of luck!

The french part is a translation... it's the same content.

to start, some of my writings are in french, other in english, depending on the mood... I more than often write in english first, because I did most of my learning and discussion on golf architecture in english.

the french part is always longer because of the little 2-3 letter words that you have to put in between the big words.

ex: engilsh: move along the valley
french: se déplace le long de la vallée...

finding pictures without a cart path is hard to do on north american courses indeed.

Phillipe,
Bon courage avec le livre.  I am looking forward to seeing this as well.  Being an American in the process of learning French in a French speaking region, this can only help.  Looks like you're off to a nice start.
