Joe Logan, the former golf writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer interviews Jeff Silverman, noted golf writer, who is currently writing a history of Merion. No doubt that the various threads here will come into play. There is a 6 minute video interview for Part 1 :

I went to Logan's web page again to see if part 2 of the interview had been added, instead to find news that author Jim Finegan took a fall recently and is in the hospital:
