Jason Topp's birdie putt tumbles in... all set up by a rather strategic second shot setting up the perfect angle for his approach to this par 5 -  ;)

Anyone looking for a wintertime escape from the cold combined with quality golf should make plans to get to Cabo.  Fantastic golf, weather and views!  Thanks to Greg for hosting a fantastic event and thanks to everyone who attended for a terrific weekend.

I particularly enjoyed having couples at this event.  Every other event I have attended has been dominated by men whereas on this one, there were four couples and four individuals.  The women were the life of the party and actually discussed things other than golf and alcohol.    They also improved the intelligence and appearance of the participants by a large margin.  I highly encourage people that have an interest in attending an event with a spouse to pencil this one in for next year.

All of us would also like to congratulate the unseen (but heard) couple in Room 217 for their exploits.    It might be possible that TEPaul was re-living his glory days.

Contrary to some reports the noises from room 217 had nothing to do with the player to be named later...

Yeah, I may not be the most interesting man in the world, but I play the most holes.

Great meeting everyone this past weekend, and seeing/playing with Hart and Jason again...I hope to see you all again soon.

Please let me know if anyone finds their way to the Boston area!
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....

Looks like y'all had a lot of fun in the sun.

Thanks for organizing the event, Greg, and for posting the pics. I hope to get down there myself one of these days. Anyone in the group play Bay of Dreams?

Great golf!!

Great people!!
Great food at the course!

I feel a little inadequate, though, especially after being room 2017's neighbor.

Bay of Dreams is not playable these days. Could change any day but the guys trying to buy the project are still struggling to get the money in place. If successful the main guy is a proven resort visionary and developer so it could gte back on track but given the location, original "business model" and a host of other obstacles it's no sure thing. Heck you have a project on better land, in a better location and with better golf in the ground virtually next door to us that is finding it nearly impossible to make a go of it these days. Intersting times.

Greg - How far is Bay of Dreams from the rest of the Cabo resort area?  Hope it all works out for them.

At least a 2 hour drive from us. Best case scenario it is 1 hour 45 minutes from the airport. Their model was very reliant on a good, scratch that, fake economy and the private airstrip on property. I would guess they might include some form of puddle jumper from Cabo to the project as they get started rather than rely on the folks that have their own jets and such. That crowd has dwindled considerably as we all know. Used to have to drop off the passengers in Cabo and fly up to La Paz to park the plane as there would be no available space in Cabo... now plenty of space in the private section of the airport.

The guys trying to take it over are a persistent if nothing else and I am sure they will keep pushing forward until they have what they need in place. It is a great spot to get away... from everything.

Totally agree.

I played Diamante on Saturday with Jason Topp, Eric Terhorst, and Tim Leahy, as well as The Spy Who Loved Her.  I believe Hart played there yesterday after most of us left.  Not sure if anyone else made the trek over.  I was pretty blown away...great course!
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....

Sworn to secrecy for the forseeable future.

When able to divulge I am sure the story will elicit a few laughs, a handful of head shakes and more than a couple "you da man" comments.

What happened in Cabo... was not in Cabo.

Tease.

Apparently "later" is indefinite.

Women want him, men want to be him (at least for about 35 minutes at Dollar Rent-a-car).

How about your favorite hole at CDS Ocean and Desert, and Diamante, for all to answer?

I will go with #7 at the Ocean, #9 Desert, and #17 Diamante.

Honorable mention #16 Ocean, #14 Desert, #4 Diamante.

Hardest?  #5 Ocean, #13 Desert, #10 Diamante (I hit a good drive and had 255 into this par four).

Easiest?  #3 Ocean, #7 Desert, #8 Diamante

Finishing hole?  CDS Ocean

Starting hole?  Diamante

Eclectic?

Diamante/Diamante/Ocean/Diamante/Ocean/Ocean/Ocean/Desert/Desert  par 35
Diamante/Diamante/Ocean/Ocean/Desert/Diamante/Ocean/Diamante/Ocean  par 36
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....
