Told by a golf partner of mine who works with the wife of the asst greenskeeper that they (staff) did not get paid this past Friday

If the club cannot make payroll, how in the hell can they think going fully private will be a success? Maybe the better question is, how long can they afford to remain fully private????

I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has an update on how the "transition to private" was going. There are 4 of us Aussies in Pinehurst in April. I wanted us to play DC and was told back in September we couldn't get on because they were trying to "transition to private".....but i should check back in the New Year to see how they were doing. Plenty of decent options in the area, of course, but I'd have liked a chance to check it out.......having travelled from the other side of the world & all!

Anyone interested in joining me for a round on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week?  Purchased the Christmas special so cost will be $75.

What that offer says is that Dormie is going fully private on January 1 but you can take advantage of your rounds purchased with that offer until March 1.  It's a very good offer, anybody that plans on playing Dormie before March 1 should take advantage of it.

I received an email today from Dormie for its "Winter Golf Special" that runs through March 1.

Are they still going private and this is their one last chance to get public play?

Are they offering a new deal that anyone can purchase today?  If that's the case it sounds like they aren't private until that deal ends, right?  That being said I don't understand the ins and outs of outside play at private courses.
