Frank / David,

I'd be interested in playing De Pan and Hoge Kleij on the Friday. I have a return flight at 19:20 so it might be tight in the afternoon, but I'm willing it try, depending on what time we tee off. Otherwise, I'll try to delay my departure till later in the evening.

I just paid my deposit via PayPal.  My schedule is pretty flexible at this point.  I know that I'm going to head to Europe sometime (whenever I finish my school requirements and drive across country) and then I'll be coming back stateside before 5 August.  I'm planning on playing as much golf as my wife will allow, so count me in for any of the golf where there are open slots.
Joe,

I will reserve a slot for you on Sunday at Swinkelsche/Eindhovensche, and one for the Friday at Hoge Kley!

Donal,

Noted, could be tight, but it all depends on the tee times David Has arranged at Pan. I have not heard from David yet on the logistics of combining Pan and Hoge Kleij.

Guys I updated the start times in the main post. De Pan tee times start at 8 am.

Hope that helps. I'll let you guys figure out the rest. Ie what time you would like to play at Hoge Kleij.

I guess a round at De Pan takes 3.5-4 hours depending on the size of the group. I think for a European flight leaving at 7 pm you should make sure to arrive 1 hour 15 minutes in advance, maybe more. I'd give myself 1 hour to get to the airport from Hoge Kleij.

I'll let you kind of figure out if you think you can make it work.

Cheers,

David

Guys...

Is anyone familiar with the options in Holland/Belgium/France for a pre-paid data sim card for an iPad? In the UK I purchase a 3G card from the Three Network for about £25. Is there anything like that will work while I'm in Europe?

Also, any advice on pre-paid phone sims? I use TalkMobile in the UK and the cost is quite reasonable. A £10 top-up usually lasts me a couple of weeks, including calls back to the States.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Mike I'm not familiar with it but everything is findable on Google. Here is a start: http://prepaidwithdata.wikia.com/wiki/The_Netherlands

Hope that helps, David

This is my first post on here although through Frank, I have been into architecture for quite a while now. This looks like an amazing trip (having played almost all of these courses already)! Would love to join for a day, if only to spend some time with architecture aficionados..

I have already contacted Frank and will speak to David.

Thanks and you best start working on being fit - July looks golf heavy! (or heaven)

Gentleman,

This trip just keeps on getting better. I spoke to Bruno Steensels who will join us at The International on Tuesday morning. He is the architect that designed the course and honestly quite an excellent player himself. Other than teaching us a lesson on the course I'm sure he would be happy to answer any questions and perhaps talk to the group over lunch.

We will have lunch there but we unfortunately won't have a huge amount of time due to our busy program and need to get to Royal Hague by 2 pm.

If you are interested to learn more about Mr. Steensels who has done some 70 projects and designs please take a look at his website: www.mastergolf.be

With both Frank and Bruno joining us we have two of the best architects from The Netherlands and Belgium.

I think we need to consider chippin in another $50 per and hire a documentary filmaker. ( Maybe I can recruit an aspiring young female production asst)

Grits?

Looking forward to this very much.

An exciting note for those of you who were only staying till Wednesday or Thursday. I've switched De Pan to Wednesday morning. Can't have any of you leaving without the feeling you have OD'd on golf. Plus I really think it's something everyone should experience here. Especially all you lovers of British Heathland courses.

Please note this will complicate our logistics a bit on the day and call for a very early start and we will have to drive a good hour in between rounds to get back to Noordwijk but it's worth it and you will thank me later.

At your service!!!

For those of you staying through Friday I will find another club for the Friday morning for the small group remaining.

I will thank you right now, because missing De Pan was a major regret on my part!

Perhaps someone can give me a lift on that day, so I can avoid having to ask my better half to drive me to Utrecht in the wee hours, wait for me to play golf and hurry me back to Noordwijk. It would be a lot more beneficial to my health if I were to tell her that she can have the car all day and go wherever she fancies :)
