David/Padraig,

With all due respect, unless they have switched the 9's, that is not the the 7th hole and I know Padraig does not need a driver to hit a short par 3. Please correct me if I am wrong.

7th Tee Old Head

How is this gentleman able to hit the ball, with what appears to be a reverse shaft flex, a full 18 inches before impact? Or is it some sort of photogrphic hijinks?

David, I hit it straight down the middle. The bend showing in the shaft is the result of a slow shutter speed in the camera!!

Don't see how that could be a slow shutter speed. The last time we saw pictures like this it was from Boomerang Barnbougle. The explanation then was an anomaly of the i-phone camera.

[EDIT]It would seem the camera is capturing the image from different points on the field of view at slightly different times but will a shutter speed high enough to nearly stop all the motion. It is more like a slow scan top to bottom much like the way a TV screen operates.

Many wonderful pictures but I think Chris Hunt's Swashbuckler is the best - so evocative and atmospheric. Chariots of Fire meets the links!

Aidan, the photo is the 12th tee, the 7th tee caption was for a previous photo on the post. It was a 4iron to the 7th, so not quite a short par 3!!!

Can anyone name the Swashbuckler in Chris Hunt's photo on page 3? One of the best shapers in the business.

I guess I had to go to the B Sides page to find my favorite pic. Well done!

Ballyhack? The place looks magnificent.

It is the Club at Black Rock.  Here is one reason it is controversial.  It s pretty goofy in one way but it is a pretty neat second shot though.
