With all the conversation regarding gathering contours and expanded sand bases, it struck me that the there are very few bunkers that so effectively dominate the mind of a golfer during the play of a hole.
The first that popped to mind was the "Don't go Left" bunker on the 7th at Barnbougle Dunes. There are others, but I'm still left with the thought that the Road Hole Bunker may be the most dictatorial of them all.
Give me your thoughts on the "threat," as well as any other bunkers that dominate play in the same way.
