I did a search through the archives, but couldn't find a good thread with a significant amount of (working) before and after examples of Tree Management. If anyone has really good examples it would be a big help if you posted them here.

Greg Ohlendorf's "My Opinion" feature on Flossmoor has a nice set of before-after photos of the course's tree management. Most dramatic is the work done on #7, #11, #12, #13, #16 and the new connected fairway between #17 and #18.

I guess add me to the excommunicated list. I liked the willow (or whatever it is) on the right. The removal of the trees on the left, the removal of the dead cattails, and the reduction of the lip of the bunker were great improvements.

Some fairly significant tree removal has occurred at Kingsley -- most notable along the ridge that divides the 10th and 18th holes, behind the 11th green, and along the left-hand side of the fairway and all around the green of 17.

I have included links to Tim Bert's epic thread below.  You'll see most of the "after" pics in Tim's posts and commentary, which come first, and the "before" pics in follow-on posts from George Freeman from the club's web gallery.  Because of how the thread evolved, the chronology of posts will be a bit screwy for your purposes, but it should be easy enough to sort through.
