My father Pete Trenham wrote the club history published in the article. He writes a few hundred word essay each month for the membership on a different part of the clubs history. Recent topics have included, when Sneed and Wall played an exposition, Bill Elliot who financed George Fazio's entry into golf course design, Herman Wendell, and my favorite one from this year a homage to his homeless caddie. The article does a good job capturing the culture or the Club.
He is the historian for the Philadelphia Section of the PGA of America and has written an extensive chronology of events in the Section based on his exhaustive research effort. trenhamgolfhistory.org
