Re: What do you think of this hole?

The shape of the hole reminds me of the 11th hole at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA.   I believe it is an R T J Jr. design.  The tee shot is close to level to the fairway, however.   The angle of the brook for the tee shop is similar and the slope of the fairway is from right to left. No fairway bunkers at all, just a bunker directly in front of narrow green.

At Lansdowne, after crossing the fairway in front of the tee the creek parallels the entire hole pinching in about 20 yards in front of the green and close to the fringe near the green.

The holes on the back nine of this older course at the resort are pretty interesting - routed over a brook, a few hills and going toward the Potomac.  They actually resurrected a pre civil war stone wall found in the woods during design.   Have only played the four new holes on this course designed by Greg Norman, not the new 27 holes he designed.  Great hotel and conference center, I wish you could walk the course.
