any GCAers up for a game Oct 18th or the morning of the 19th?

Will be in the area for a business meeting and will extend my trip by a couple days.

Would love to try to get a round in on Black/Red or any other good track on long island with a GCAers.

Mark,

What is your view on cell phones!!?? ;)

Seriously, weekday golf is out but I can set you up at Yale unescorted depending on the college tournaments and if you stay for the weekend we could possibly get a group for the weekend. Use me as a backup and let's touch base after Labor Day.

Mark,

I could probably make it out there one of those days.  The morning of the 19th probably works best, but feel free to send me an IM and we can try to put something together.

I have access to the Bethpage reservation system, but as a New Jersey resident, I can only make tee times 2 days in advance.  If you can make it out to North Jersey, there is quite a bit of good public golf out here as well.

Regards,

Ben

Mark, take note that Bethpage Black is aerating their greens in the beginning of October.   I believe that the Red will be at least one month post aeration by the time of your anticipated trip.

I played the Black last week while in NY and can only say that I hope the greens improve after them getting stressed during the Barclays.  Close to half of the greens had dirty bald areas.  The locals which I played with attributed the poor greens conditions it to a fungus infection.

I would hit Mike up on his kind offer to get on Yale.  You can always get to Bethpage, parking issues aside.  ; )

slight change of plans with schedule.

Now my only open time is Monday afternoon.   most Likely looking to play montauk downs since I have never played it and heard very good things.  (plus black and red are closed that day)

Please let me know if anyone wants to join
