Just back from a trip to beautiful British Columbia, westernmost of our provinces here in Canada. We had the opportunity to golf at Wildstone, Trickle Creek, Osoyoos, Predator Ridge - Predator & Ridge courses, Talking Rock, and Tobiano.
Rather than incite a frenzied discussion of each course (although that is certainly welcome), this photo tour is meant more to show, to some degree, courses which may or may not be well known in other parts of the world, and hopefully spark interest which may result in future play.
Our second stop was at Trickle Creek near the ski resort and town of Kimberley. This is a course we've played a couple of times before.
From their website...
"Woven through the rugged alpine environment, crossing creeks and diving with the slopes of North Star Mountain, Trickle Creek Golf Resort is one of the most thrilling golf courses you'll ever play. Located in beautiful Kimberley, British Columbia, and designed by renowned architect Les Furber, the course was recently awarded a bronze medal by readers of SCORE Golf Magazine for being one of the top resort courses in all of Canada."
Black = 6,896 yds slope 130
Blue = 6,389 yds slope 125
White = 5,725 slope 123 (m) 137 (w)
Green = 5,082 yds 131 (w)
Due to our travel schedule, we were first off that morning, at 7am.
Onto the course...
This was one of our favorite courses of the trip, a close second to the Ridge course at Predator Ridge. The course was in excellent condition, and being first off that morning didn't hurt. I liked the use of the land, and the variety of holes. It's quite a hilly golf course, which the camera will flatten out.
Cheers,
Jim
