Royal Portrush has a better set of greens than Royal Melbourne...discuss

For several years now I've been of the opinion that the best greens in Ireland are at Portrush (never been to Melbourne so have no point of comparison). Portrush's two nines are like a twin peak roller coaster ride.

I've played both & would agree with Tom. Portrush's greens are supurb, but I wouldn't say better than Royal Melbourne.

I didn't hear the comments, but if it was Wayne Reilly, I wouldn't pay much heed to them. I've spoken to Radar quite a few times over the last 30 years, as I knew his brother Paul, but I have never known Wayne to exhibit any knowledge concerning architure.
