Nashville Business Journal - Lehman Bros. Problems Halts Laurel Cove (G. Norman)

The financial troubles with Lehman Brothers has caused the halt of construction at Laurel Cove, just south of Nashville.   The article says the front 9 is done, but that all construction is halted until the developers can find financing. 

Heavily publicized development with a Greg Norman course.  They've done a lot of local advertising, positioning as the "next big thing" in Nashville.  Used to hear a lot radio ads featuring Frank Wychek's endorsement (... Wychek of NFL "Music City Miracle" fame).

Yep, still here in TN...  I've heard absolutely zip on Bear Creek.

We're all still shocked that Fairvue Plantation was able to pull off the second course.  That said... the renovation plans for the mansion into a clubhouse & pro shop were halted / slowed.

The golfers aren't complaining since the lack of development has left the Foxland course as we all enjoy it --- a getaway from neighbors, stores, and streets.

Looks like it's back under new ownership and a new name!  Word is it won't be too long before it's open for business.
