Pat- Certainly perplexing questions both. Additionally were you aware of TEP`s penchant for bird calls? Professor Bausch may want to weigh in but I am going to go out on a limb and say that was the mating call of a Yellow Bellied Sapsucker. After only limited research at this point I can`t offer anything up on the hat except for the obvious in that it was dashing.

Funny thing is...that was the only part of that interview that was even mildly interesting.

Its bad enough we have to put up with Johnny on US Open weekend, now we get douchebag Costas and his pompous sermons as well.

I too thought the final interview was terrible. I couldnt stop laughing for 5 minutes after the intervention and I thought it was hilarious. I can't believe they could allow someone moving at that pace to make it not only across the presentation area on the green but also to get positioned for such a close up camera shot. The Costas / Simpson interview was not very interesting.  I can't wait to see the security around the final green next year in anticipation of copycats.
