I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

8 looks a lot like a hole on DruidsGlen.  Hard to tell since we played it in a hurricane
We have a pool and a pond, the pond would be good for you.

My memory's not so good...tried to peg it in the routing on google but for some reason was thinking back nine...7 makes more sense.   The one with the that leaves you 40 yards out if you miss short right?

Yes.  Big time false front.  Dont be short but also, don't be above the pin!!

I thought you may get that one!

Ed made one of the all-time great up-and-downs I've seen short-sided left in that deep green side bunker.

It was hard to identify that photo as Oak Tree National since there isn't a tree in the line of play.

:D Ed, scroll right.  At least a piece of the green is blocked-out from the right-centre part of the fairway.

Will, good eye, that is [restored] Thompson bunkering but it's not St George's.  This is one of his lesser-known works, and as such may be a difficult one to identify.

His bunkers do have flair, don't they!

Mark,

Having played Highland and Banff, I did recognize those forms...has Ian A. redone these?

Is Maidstone correct?

Cheers

Yep Maidstone is right.

The Thompson course hired Carrick to do their master plan and are redoing the bunkers in stages.  Though I believe Ian was working with Doug when the work started in 2006ish, I don't know if Ian was involved with this project.

Edit: A quick look at Ian's website shows he is not the current architect of record with the club.

Off-topic, but I am excited to see he is the architect of record for another Thompson/Robinson course I'm visiting tomorrow -- The Briars -- interested to see what work has been done there.

Right course, wrong hole.  How'd you figure out it's Burlington?

I know of the course - I played HL & Banff on my cross-Canada honeymoon during which I often read Confidential Guide and did other Thompson research - but really needed your hint.  Looked like Toronto topography to me but needed to visit Carrick's website and then look at some aerials.  I am not all that familiar with the routing.  Is it #10?
