I would love to play White Manor on the 12th as well.  Thank you for the group invite, Jason.

What other crappy schools did you attend JNC besides Colgate?

This is sounding great, guys.

Looking like perhaps Monday night would be a good night for some dinner and beers in Philly. Happy to take guidance on where we should head, whether McNally's, DeNic's, John's or elsewhere.

 8) As White Manor's biggest fan, Joe, you should be there on the 12th.

Scott,

John's Roast Pork and DeNic's are both only open for lunch.

McNally's is an option depending on the size of our group, as its a pretty small place.

I'll see if Joe Bausch and I (our resident food expert) can put our heads together for a good spot.

Guys,

Golf on the 12th will likely not start till 2ish. I'll keep everyone posted.

Jason

Cheers for that, Jason. I'll have to make sure to eat lunch at one of them one day.

I've heard legend of Mr Bausch's culinary expertise and will be happy to go wherever he recommends.

Not sure where everyone else is based but it looks as though I will be staying (and I think John Lyon may well be staying with me) around the Center City area, if that helps to settle on a location.

Inasmuch as John should be cultivating relationships with potential investors make sure he picks up the tab.

Scott,
If you're staying in Center City then I'd recommend a location within walking distance.  Easier to keep it simple (for you) than having to get out to Chestnut Hill.  Anyway, we'd need to get the IRA password for entry into McNally's :)

Let us know what hotel you'll be at.
A friend of mine owns this place on 18th (a decent place to drink) http://www.publichousephilly.com/menus/39-drinks but they'll throw you out if you're double logo-ing with top 100 club attire.

So is there an itinerary being drafted?  I should be able to attend some of it but will confirm closer to the date.  Musikfest is that weekend in downtown Bethlehem, so we have an open house policy since we are right among the festivities)  GCA'ers are welcome to stop in.   :)

C'mon Rory, this is a golf trip, not a business trip!  Frankly, I'm offended  ;)

As plans get more set up I would like to get involved in some way. I'm out in Hershey and will gladly host some guys out at Hershey CC if there is interest.

Look John, you need to start looking at all of these things as opportunities to recruit. after all, some day some nice girl is going to want to get together with you and when she asks you why you are leaving her every other weekend to go bon vivanting around the great clubs of the world  instead of tending to her, you are going to have to be armed with something better than "I can't get enough of Joe Bausch" :-)

We are good for the 14th. I am thinking golf and then a private dinner - reasonably casual but private enough to stand John on a table and have him sing the Colgate Alma Mater.

After all this chatter I'm expecting Scott to send a message, oh maybe 3 days before his visit, that he is instead playing a Barker/Macdonald course, followed by some unheralded Colt layout and must take a rain check.
